The Legal Foundation, Inc. is more than just a non-profit legal aid firm – we’re a beacon of hope for those who might otherwise be left in the shadows of our justice system. Founded in 2016 by Attorney Yesenia A. Collazo, our organization embodies a powerful belief: that no person should be denied the right to equal justice.
Our story began in the wake of Hurricane Maria, when Attorney Collazo helped establish the Legal Clinic of the Puerto Rican Bar Association to assist displaced Puerto Ricans in Florida. This experience illuminated the pressing need for accessible legal services, inspiring the creation of The Legal Foundation.
